Wednesday July 31, 2024 9:00am - 4:00pm PDT
Science teachers will receive training in the newly adopted Biology Curriculum -- Science and Global Issues (SEPUP/LabAids). Attendees will unpack units 1 (Sustainability) and 2 (Ecology) to prepare for their teaching in the fall. While the content is focused on Biology, this will be an opportunity for all teachers to explore fully developed units that are part of year-long curriculum aligned to NGSS. This will help them understand the 3 Dimensions of NGSS and how to develop learning targets that push students to explore and explain various scientific phenomena.
